About Thorax

Thorax is a specialised organisation in the social domain, based in Amersfoort. We support organisations in optimising their processes and information provision within care, welfare, and support. Digital solutions play a key role in this. To further strengthen our services, we are looking for a Functional Application Manager who can bridge the gap between users, processes, and IT.

The Role

As a Functional Application Manager, you ensure that applications are optimally aligned with the activities within the social domain. You support users, translate functional requirements into practical solutions, and actively contribute to the further development of our systems. You work closely with colleagues and external suppliers.

What Will You Do?

• Functionally manage and optimise applications within the social domain
• Support and advise users
• Identify and translate user requirements into functional specifications
• Coordinate changes, updates, and releases
• Test and accept new functionalities
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and information provision

What Do You Bring?

• At least a completed higher education degree (e.g., Information Science, Business Information Management, Business Administration, or similar)
• Experience as a functional application manager or in a similar role
• Knowledge of Myneva is an advantage
• Affinity with the social domain and process-oriented working
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Proactive and independent working attitude
