Referral Programme Terms & Conditions
Referral Programme – Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the Referral Programme (the "Programme") available on the Jober platform (the "Platform"), operated by Jober Ltd, registered at 406 Teyleur, Manchester, M50 3AQ, United Kingdom, company number 15328589 (the "Owner"). The Programme enables registered Candidates to earn rewards by referring potential applicants to job vacancies, and enables Employers to attract candidates through referral-based recruitment. By participating in the Programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Part A: Terms for Candidates (Referrers)
1. Who Can Participate
- To participate in the Programme, you must have a registered and verified Candidate account on the Platform.
- Participation is voluntary and free of charge.
2. How It Works for You
- When an Employer activates a referral programme for a job vacancy, you can generate a unique referral link for that vacancy from the job details page.
- Each referral programme has one of two payout models, chosen by the Employer:
- Per CV– you earn a reward each time someone applies for the job through your referral link;
- Per Hire– you earn a reward when someone you referred is confirmed as hired by the Employer.
- The reward amount per referral is set by the Employer and is displayed on the job vacancy page.
- Each referral programme has a maximum number of candidate slots set by the Employer. Once all slots are filled, no further referrals will be paid for that vacancy, even if new applications are submitted through your link.
3. Payment Guarantee
- Before a referral programme goes live, the Employer is required to pay a deposit to Jober covering the full cost of all referral reward slots in that programme (see section 12). Jober holds those funds and pays the rewards itself.
- Because every slot advertised is funded in advance, Jober guarantees payment of every Referral Reward validly earned under an active referral programme, up to the value of the deposit held for that programme. You do not depend on the Employer paying you, and you are not affected if the Employer later stops using the Platform, deactivates the programme or refuses to pay.
- Jober will pay out your earned rewards once the payout conditions are met – an application received through your link for per-CV programmes, or a hire confirmed (or determined under section 9) for per-hireprogrammes – subject to the anti-fraud checks in section 8 and the minimum threshold in section 4.
- The guarantee covers Referral Rewards only. It does not cover employment, wages or any other obligation of the Employer towards you or towards a Referred Candidate.
- This section prevails over any statement to the contrary in the general Terms and Conditions for Candidates or for Employers.
4. Minimum Payout Threshold
- Referral earnings are payable only once your accumulated balance reaches a minimum of 50 PLN, 50 EUR or 50 GBP (depending on the currency of your earnings).
- Earnings below this threshold will remain in your account until the minimum is reached.
5. Tracking Your Earnings
- You can track all your referral activity in the Referrals section of your Candidate Panel, including:
- number of clicks on your referral links;
- number of applications submitted through your links;
- number of successful hires;
- total earned rewards.
- You can view detailed information for each referral programme you have participated in.
6. How to Share Your Referral Links
- Share your referral links wherever you like – the more people see your link, the higher your chances of earning rewards. You are encouraged to share widely using any lawful means, including:
- Social media– posts and stories on Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.;
- Online forums and communities– Reddit, Discord, Slack, Facebook Groups, etc.;
- Messaging apps– WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, etc.;
- Email– send your link directly to friends, family and contacts;
- Personal blogs, websites or newsletters;
- Word of mouth– recommend the job in person to people you know.
- You may refer multiple people to multiple job vacancies simultaneously. There is no limit on the number of referral links you can generate.
7. Sharing Rules – What You Must Not Do
- When sharing referral links, you must not:
- misrepresent the job vacancy, reward amount, or working conditions;
- engage in spamming or unsolicited mass messaging;
- violate the terms of service of any third-party platform used for sharing;
- use deceptive practices such as disguising the link or misleading click-bait.
8. Prohibited Activities
- The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification from the Programme and may lead to account termination:
- self-referrals (applying for a job using your own referral link);
- submitting fake, fabricated or duplicate applications through your referral link;
- using bots, automated scripts or any form of artificial traffic generation;
- creating multiple accounts to circumvent Programme rules;
- any other form of manipulation, fraud or abuse of the referral system.
- The Owner reserves the right to withhold or reclaim Referral Rewards where fraud or a breach of these Terms is detected.
9. Disputed Hires
- In per-hire programmes the Employer confirms the hire of a referred candidate in the Employer Panel. The Employer must do so promptly and in good faith (see section 14).
- If you believe a candidate you referred was hired and no confirmation has been recorded, you may raise a claim through our contact page within 90 days of the application, identifying the vacancy and the referral and providing anything that supports the claim.
- Jober will ask the Employer for a statement and supporting evidence – for example the recruitment status recorded in their systems or the agreed start date – and the Employer must respond within 14 days. If the Employer does not respond, or if the available evidence shows on the balance of probabilities that the hire took place, Jober will treat the hire as confirmed and pay the reward out of the deposit.
- We will notify you of the outcome by e-mail within 30 days of your claim, or explain the reason for any delay.
- A decision under this section determines only whether a Referral Reward is paid out of the deposit. It does not determine the existence, terms or validity of any employment relationship between the Employer and the Referred Candidate.
10. Tax Obligations
- Any Referral Rewards received may be subject to income tax or other taxes in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for declaring and paying all applicable taxes on your referral earnings.
Are you an Employer? See Part B: Terms for Employers below.
Part B: Terms for Employers
11. Setting Up a Referral Programme
- Employers may activate a referral programme for any active job vacancy published on the Platform.
- When setting up a referral programme, the Employer defines:
- the referral reward amount per candidate;
- the payout model: per CV (reward paid when a referred candidate submits an application) or per hire (reward paid when the Employer confirms the hire);
- the maximum number of candidates the Employer will pay referral rewards for.
12. Deposit and Payment
- Before a referral programme becomes active, the Employer must pay a deposit covering the total cost of all referral reward slots. The deposit is calculated as:
- Referral fee × maximum number of candidates, plus a 10% service fee charged by Jober.
- The deposit is collected via Stripe and held by Jober. The referral programme becomes active only after successful payment.
- Jober holds the deposit in order to pay the Referral Rewards under that programme. The deposit does not bear interest for the Employer.
- Jober pays the Referral Rewards to the Referrers out of the deposit and guarantees those payments up to the amount of the deposit held for the programme. By paying the deposit the Employer discharges its obligation to pay for the reward slots it covers. The Employer does not pay Referrers directly, and Referrers have no claim against the Employer in respect of those rewards.
- Each reward earned is deducted from the deposit, together with the 10% service fee attributable to it. The service fee is earned only on rewards actually paid out.
- Once the maximum number of candidate slots is filled, the referral programme is considered completed and no further referral rewards will be paid for that vacancy.
- A referral programme also closes if Jober closes it early at the Employer's request. Rewards earned before a programme closes remain payable in full.
13. Unused Deposit: Reuse, Credit or Refund
- The unused part of the deposit is the amount paid, less the rewards paid or still payable under that programme, less the 10% service fee attributable to those rewards. Jober does not keep the service fee on unused reward slots.
- After a programme closes, the Employer may contact Jober through our contact page to confirm the unused amount and ask for it to be:
- put towards a new referral programme for the same vacancy;
- put towards a referral programme for a different vacancy;
- added in full to the account's credit balance and spent on promoting that vacancy or any other advert; or
- refunded to the payment method used to pay the deposit.
- Such a request should be made within 12 months of the programme closing.
- Refunds are made within 14 daysof Jober accepting the request, through Stripe, to the original payment method and in the currency of the deposit. Jober charges no fee for a refund; additional time taken by Stripe or the Employer's bank, and any currency conversion differences applied by them, are outside Jober's control.
- A refund or transfer may be withheld only in respect of an amount that is subject to an unresolved claim under section 9, and only until that claim has been decided.
14. Employer Obligations
- For per-hire programmes, the Employer must confirm the hire of a referred candidate in the Employer Panel promptly and in good faith. Deliberately failing to confirm a hire to avoid paying a referral reward is a breach of these Terms.
- The Employer must cooperate with the verification procedure in section 9 and provide the information requested within 14 days. If the Employer does not, Jober may decide the claim on the evidence available and pay the reward out of the deposit, and the Employer authorises Jober to do so.
- The Employer must not discriminate against Referred Candidates in the hiring process solely on the basis that they were referred through the Programme.
- The Employer remains responsible for all data protection obligations regarding Referred Candidates' personal data, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
15. Complaints About the Deposit
- An Employer may complain about the deposit, its use, a refund or credit balance through our contact page or the employer e-mail address published there.
- A complaint should state the company details, the vacancy and referral programme concerned, the amount in question and what the Employer is asking for.
- Jober acknowledges a complaint within 7 days and resolves it within 14 days of receipt. Where a case requires further investigation, that period may be extended to a maximum of 30 days, and Jober will explain the reason before the original deadline expires.
- The decision is given in writing (by e-mail). If the Employer does not accept it, it may pursue the claim in accordance with section 18.
- Referrers may complain about a Referral Reward in the same way; the procedure in section 9 applies to their claims.

Part C: General Provisions
16. Platform Role and Liability
- The Owner collects deposits from Employers, holds them and pays Referral Rewards to eligible Referrers, guaranteeing those payments up to the value of the deposit held for the programme concerned. In doing so the Owner acts as paymaster for the Employer.
- The Owner does not guarantee the availability or continuity of any referral programme. Employers may choose not to activate referral programmes for their vacancies.
- Except for the payment of Referral Rewards out of the deposit as set out in these Terms, the Owner shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from disputes between Referrers and Employers regarding job vacancies, hiring decisions, or working conditions.
- These Terms govern the Programme in full. Where they conflict with the general Terms and Conditions for Employers or for Candidates, these Terms prevail in relation to the Programme, including in relation to who is responsible for paying Referral Rewards.
17. Modifications and Termination
- The Owner reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Programme or these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page.
- Once a referral programme is active it runs until all its reward slots are filled, unless Jober closes it early at the Employer's request. Referrals completed before a programme closes remain eligible for rewards under the original conditions and are paid out of the deposit; the unused part of the deposit is handled in accordance with section 13.
- Continued participation in the Programme following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
