I’m currently partnered with a globally recognised consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Director in either Dublin or Cork.

This is an opportunity to join a well established international business with a considerable legacy, a strong pipeline of nationally significant projects and the backing of a truly global technical network. If you're an exisitng Associate Director looking for a change, or Principal Engineer looking to step up, this is a fantastic long term career opportunity. 

The business is continuing to grow across Ireland, with significant activity spanning residential, transport, water, energy, real estate, data centres and pharmaceutical developments.

The Opportunity - Associate Director 

You’ll join an established Development Infrastructure team working across Ireland and the UK, supporting major developers, housebuilders, public-sector organisations and private clients.

The team operates across the full development lifecycle, from early feasibility and planning through detailed design and construction, delivering practical and buildable solutions across:

• Development infrastructure & civil engineering
• Highways and transportation
• Drainage and utilities
• Flood risk and surface water management
• SuDS
• Residential developments
• Mixed-use and major development schemes

With the wider Irish business bringing together expertise across transport, water, environment, energy, buildings, and digital infrastructure, there is considerable opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and work on projects with a wider infrastructure impact.

You’ll have a genuine opportunity to influence the direction and growth of the Development Infrastructure team, combining technical leadership with client development, commercial responsibility and people management.

You’ll be involved in:

• Leading and mentoring a team of civil engineers
• Providing technical leadership across development infrastructure projects
• Taking ownership of project delivery, quality and commercial performance
• Building and maintaining senior client relationships
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities
• Supporting bids, tenders and strategic pursuits
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the wider organisation
• Developing junior and senior engineers and helping build the next generation of technical leaders
• Contributing to the continued growth of the Development Infrastructure offering in Ireland

The Projects - Associate Director

You’ll be working within a business involved in some of Ireland’s biggest flagship infrastructure and development programmes.

The wider Irish portfolio includes major work across transportation, residential development, healthcare, education, water, sustainability, energy and digital infrastructure. The business is also involved in projects supporting Ireland’s growing data centre and pharmaceutical sectors.

For someone who enjoys working on projects with scale and seeing infrastructure move from concept through to delivery, there is a strong platform here.

What are they looking for? - Associate Director

You’ll ideally be:

• A Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent
• Experienced within development infrastructure / civil engineering consultancy enviroment
• Experienced delivering projects for public and private-sector clients
• Currently operating at Principal Engineer or Associate level
• Confident leading teams and developing technical talent
• Commercially aware with strong client-facing and business development experience
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects, relationships and team performance
• Interested in playing a visible role in the continued growth of a major engineering consultancy
