Protocol Education are looking for a Sport & Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist setting in South Shields.

This role is particularly suited to someone who understands that building a relationship often comes before learning can happen.

For some pupils, a shared interest in football, boxing, fitness or another sport can be the starting point for building trust and encouraging better engagement in school.

Your Role

You'll support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, including:

• 1:1 and small-group support
• Behaviour and engagement support
• PE and physical activity
• Classroom learning
• Emotional regulation
• Positive behaviour strategies
• Break and lunchtime support
• Encouraging communication and teamwork
• Building confidence and independence
• Developing positive relationships with pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
