Protocol Education is working with a number of welcoming nurseries and early years settings across BS4 who are looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable Unqualified Nursery Assistants to join their teams as soon as possible.

You don't need a formal childcare qualification to apply. If you have experience working with children through childcare, coaching, youth work, family support, play schemes, healthcare, or similar environments, we'd love to hear from you.

A background in paediatric care or paediatric training would be a fantastic bonus, but it is not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for people who are passionate about supporting children's development and creating positive early learning experiences.

The Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you could be:

• Supporting children aged 0-5 with their learning and development
• Engaging children through play-based activities
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
• Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes and outdoor play
• Supporting children's social, emotional and communication development
• Working alongside experienced Early Years Practitioners and Nursery Staff

£92 - £95 per day, paid weekly

A Bit About You

We're looking for individuals who are:

• Passionate about supporting young children's development

• Caring, patient and nurturing in their approach

• Confident building positive relationships with children and staff

• Reliable, flexible and keen to learn

• Comfortable working within Early Years settings

• Experienced working with children in any capacity

• Hold paediatric training or healthcare experience (desirable but not essential)

• Available to start ASAP

What We Need to Clear You

To complete our safeguarding checks, you'll need:

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK

• Two proofs of address (such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax letter, P45 or P60)

• A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained

• Two years of references, including childcare references where applicable

• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years
