Protocol Education is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in BS15 to recruit a passionate Upper KS2 Teacher to teach a Year 5 or Year 6 class. The Role
As the class teacher, you'll deliver creative and engaging lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum, helping pupils make strong academic progress while fostering a love of learning.
Working alongside a supportive leadership team and dedicated staff, you'll use assessment effectively to inform teaching, challenge higher-attaining pupils and provide targeted support where needed.
This is a full-time role beginning in October, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact within a fantastic school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can succeed.
- Plan engaging learning experiences that motivate and challenge learners.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively.
- Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage expectations while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum.

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- A qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experienced teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Upper KS2.
- Passionate about delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Confident in managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations.
- Committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
- A reflective practitioner who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Ready to make a positive impact from day one.

To begin working with Protocol Education, you'll need:
- A valid passport and proof of your right to work in the UK.
- Two proofs of address (such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement, P45 or P60).
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years of work or education history, with any gaps explained.
- References covering the last two years, including education references where applicable.
- An Overseas Police Check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years.
