Year 1 Teaching Assistant – Peacehaven Primary School Full-Time | September Start

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Peacehaven, easily accessible by public transport, is seeking an experienced Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will work alongside a Year 1 Teacher and another TA, supporting a large cohort of pupils both within the classroom and through targeted 1:1 support.

This role would suit a TA with a strong background in Early Years/Key Stage 1 and ideally experience supporting children with SEND.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within EYFS or Key Stage 1.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, including those requiring additional communication, learning, or behavioural support.
• The ability to support learning through class-based activities and individual interventions.
• A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff.

Role details:

• Start Date: September 2nd 
• Hours: Full-Time 8.30-3.30pm
• Location: Peacehaven (excellent public transport links)
