SEN Teaching Assistant Required - Purley
Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Purley area. This rewarding role involves working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential in a nurturing educational environment.
This position would suit individuals with experience supporting children with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Needs (SLCN), SEMH, or learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
- Supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom.
- Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social development.
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and communication where required.
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting.
- A patient, resilient, and caring approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- An Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
