SEN Teaching Assistant Required - Wallington
Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Wallington area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
You will work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs (SLCN), SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Support students in accessing learning activities across the curriculum.
- Implement individual education plans and behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting.
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
